Knox Engineering & Inspections – Serving Tulsa Since 1982

Location: Greater Tulsa, Oklahoma Area

Position Type: Full-Time / Part-Time / Flexible

Experience Level: Licensed Professional Engineer (P.E.)

About Knox Engineering & Inspections

Since 1982, Knox Engineering & Inspections has been a trusted name in the Oklahoma engineering community. For over four decades, we have provided high-quality structural assessments for residential and commercial properties. We pride ourselves on technical expertise, reliability, and a straightforward approach to engineering.

The Role

We are seeking licensed Professional Engineers (P.E.) to conduct structural inspections on a variety of residential and commercial structures throughout the greater Tulsa area.

This is not your typical corporate engineering role. We offer a high degree of autonomy and are looking for experts who can evaluate structural integrity, identify concerns, and provide clear, professional findings.

Why Join Us?

  • Ultimate Flexibility: We offer both full-time and part-time opportunities.
  • Perfect for Semi-Retirement: Are you a retired P.E. who still enjoys the "boots on the ground" aspect of engineering but wants to skip the corporate grind? This is the perfect fit for you.
  • No Office Hours: Work from your own home base. You manage your site visits and your reports on your own schedule.
  • Casual Environment: We value your brain, not your wardrobe. This position requires no office hours and absolutely no khakis. Work in what makes you comfortable and productive.
  • Local Impact: Help ensure the safety and longevity of structures right here in our Tulsa community.

Responsibilities

  • Perform on-site structural inspections of residential homes and commercial buildings.
  • Evaluate foundations, framing, load-bearing components, and overall structural stability.
  • Prepare concise, professional engineering reports based on field observations.
  • Communicate technical findings clearly to clients (homeowners, realtors, or developers).

Qualifications

  • License: Must hold a valid Professional Engineer (P.E.) license in the state of Oklahoma.
  • Experience: Background in structural engineering helpful
  • Communication: Ability to write clear, technical reports.
  • Equipment: Must have reliable transportation to reach inspection sites in the greater Tulsa area.

How to Apply

If you are looking for a flexible way to utilize your engineering expertise without the overhead of a traditional office job, we want to hear from you.
