Title: Advisory Consultant – Lead Application Engineer

We are seeking a Senior Advisory Consultant to serve as a Lead Application Engineer supporting a federal digital engineering initiative. The selected candidate will provide technical leadership in the development of DoDAF 2.0 views and models, define integration strategies for Live, Virtual, and Constructive (LVC) simulations, and support the operationalization of an integrated stack of COTS and GOTS Digital Engineering applications.
This role involves close collaboration with engineering, simulation, and IT teams across multiple security domains, ranging from unclassified to Top Secret environments.
Key ResponsibilitiesLead the design and development of DoDAF 2.0 views and models to support digital engineering and mission system integration.
Define the integration of Live, Virtual, and Constructive (LVC) simulations to enable interoperability across MS&A applications.
Develop and document processes for linking LVC simulations using suitable protocols or technologies within a federated simulation environment.
Identify and manage system integration points between engineering applications across secured cloud enclaves.
Provide technical leadership in prototyping, testing, and fielding new Modeling, Simulation & Analysis (MS&A) solutions within hybrid cloud environments.
Contribute to the definition and adoption of DevSecOps and Agile best practices within digital engineering workflows.
Communicate complex technical concepts, standards, and integration strategies to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Proven experience as a Lead Application Engineer or Technical Architect in defense or enterprise engineering environments.
Strong understanding of DoDAF , TOGAF , or related architectural frameworks.
Hands-on experience integrating COTS/GOTS applications and managing digital engineering ecosystems.
Proficiency in software development using modern languages such as C# , Java , Go , or JavaScript .
Experience with DevSecOps pipelines and Agile software development methodologies .
Familiarity with cloud orchestration environments and secure systems integration.
Excellent leadership, communication, and presentation skills.
Experience with the Air Force’s Advanced Framework for Simulation, Integration, and Modeling (AFSIM) .
Background in Digital Engineering and Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) .
Active or obtainable U.S. Security Clearance (SECRET or higher) .
