Ultrasound Technologist – Breast Center

📍 Location:  North Bergen, NJ 07047
🕒 Schedule: Monday–Friday | No Weekends | No Holidays | No On-Call | No Float

Pay Rate:

• $64 per hour for travel
• $55 for local

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform diagnostic breast ultrasound exams, including routine, complex, and Doppler studies.
• Assist with ultrasound-guided breast biopsies, aspirations, and other interventional procedures.
• Ensure high-quality image acquisition and optimization using appropriate scanning protocols.
• Operate and maintain ultrasound equipment; troubleshoot technical issues as needed.
• Archive, retrieve, and transmit images using PACS system.
• Prepare patients for exams, explain procedures, and ensure comfort throughout the process.
• Maintain proper documentation, patient records, and follow departmental workflows.
• Participate in quality control, equipment checks, and continuing education.
• Provide instruction or guidance to staff, students, or residents as necessary.

Required Skills & Experience:

• Proficient in breast ultrasound techniques and anatomy.
• Strong understanding of ultrasound equipment and system operations.
• Ability to identify and minimize image artifacts.
• Skilled in assisting with ultrasound-guided breast interventions.
• Basic computer and PACS system proficiency.
• Current CPR certification.
• Excellent communication and patient care skills.

Preferred Experience:

• Minimum 2 year of clinical ultrasound experience, preferably in breast imaging.

Education & Certifications:

• Graduate of an accredited Ultrasound Program.
• 2 years of formal training in Allied Health or College equivalent.
• Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (RDMS) required.
