Transportation Operations Manager – Help Drive the Future of Mobility in Houston, TX

We’re looking for a driven and experienced Transportation Operations Manager to support our VP of Operations in Houston, TX. What You’ll Do as a Transportation Operations Manager:

  • Operational Leadership: Support the VP of Operations by overseeing daily transportation activities and ensuring smooth, efficient operations.
  • Fleet Management: Manage vehicle scheduling, dispatch, maintenance, repairs, and overall fleet readiness.
  • Policy & Process Improvement: Implement and enforce operational policies, procedures, and best practices to drive efficiency and performance.
  • Compliance & Safety: Ensure adherence to all local, state, and federal transportation regulations, including driver, vehicle, and D&A compliance.
  • Performance Analysis: Review operational data, identify improvement opportunities, and implement strategic solutions.
  • Team Leadership: Lead, mentor, and support a dedicated operations team while fostering a positive, collaborative culture.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with internal departments to ensure seamless operations.
  • Customer Resolution: Handle customer inquiries and issues promptly and professionally.
  • Vehicle Oversight: Manage vehicle onboarding, removals, daily lot audits, and inventory tracking.
  • Repair Coordination: Prioritize and coordinate fleet repairs with in-house teams and external vendors.

What We’re Looking for as a Transportation Operations Manager:

  • Experience: Proven experience in transportation operations, fleet management, or a related field.
  • Leadership: Strong people-management skills with the ability to motivate and develop teams.
  • Organization: Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Communication: Clear and professional communication skills for working with teams, customers, and partners.
  • Technology: Comfortable using transportation management systems and operational tools.
  • Regulatory Expertise: Solid understanding of transportation compliance requirements.
  • License: Valid Texas Driver’s License required.
