Tool Room Attendant 

Location: Alexandria, Louisiana

Requirements:

· Safety is an absolute responsibility of staff members at each level of authority for all that happens or fails to happen in response to the program within their respective area(s).

· Issue and receive tools, equipment and consumables to and from employees

· Maintain accurate records of tool usage, inventory levels and tool condition

· Inspect tools and equipment for damage or wear; coordinate repairs or replacements as needed

· Oraganize and maintain the tool room for efficient storage and easy access

· Perform periodic inventory checks and audits of tools and equipment

· Track calibration scheduled and coordinate calibration services for precision tools

· Assist in developing and enforcing tool room policies, including tool check-out procedures and loss prevention

· Monitor tool usage to identify high usage items and recommend inventory adjustments

• Ensure compliance with safety standards and proper storage procedures

Qualifications:

· High School Diploma [or equivalent]

· 1-2 years of experience in an industrial construction tool room environment

· Basic mechanical knowledge and familiarity with various hand tools, power tools and precision measuring instruments

· Proficiency in using computer systems for inventory tracking 

· Must possess exceptional organizational skills and be detail and goal oriented.

• Ability to lift and move tools and equipment (up to 50 lbs)
