JOB DESCRIPTION:
Job Title: Sterile Processing Technician
Location: Holland, MI 49423
Shift Schedule: 5 x 8 Night shifts
Duration: Approximately 13 Weeks (Possible extension depending on business needs)
Pay Range: $30 – $34 per hour on W2
Guaranteed Hours: 40 hours per week
 
Responsibilities:
Clean, decontaminate, inspect, assemble, and sterilize surgical instruments, equipment, and supplies.
Ensure all instruments meet hospital and regulatory standards for sterilization and safety.
Manage the inventory of sterile supplies and surgical instruments.
Maintain sterile storage areas and ensure proper labeling and tracking of instruments.
Collaborate with surgical teams and operating room staff to provide timely instrument availability.
Document and report any instrument defects or malfunctions.
Adhere strictly to infection control and safety protocols.
Support routine maintenance of sterilization equipment such as autoclaves. 

Skills/Experience Needed:
Minimum 1 year of experience in sterile processing or central sterile supply.
Strong knowledge of sterilization techniques, infection control, and aseptic procedures.
Ability to follow detailed processes and maintain high standards of cleanliness.
Experience with surgical instrument identification and handling preferred.
Comfortable working in fast-paced hospital environments.
 
Education:
High school diploma or equivalent required.
Completion of a Sterile Processing Technician program or equivalent preferred.
 
Certifications:
CRCST (Certified Registered Central Service Technician) preferred or in progress.
BLS certification (American Heart Association) preferred.
Proof of COVID-19 vaccination may be required according to hospital policy.
