Overview:
GTN Technical Staffing is partnering with a leading Defense and Space Manufacturing client to hire a skilled Network Engineer for a full-time direct hire opportunity. This individual will own the network environment , providing end-to-end oversight of design, implementation, security, and support. The role is primarily remote, with periodic travel required to five U.S. locations.
Responsibilities:
- Own and manage the enterprise network environment , ensuring security, reliability, and scalability.
- Design, configure, and support network infrastructure, including LAN, WAN, VLAN , and firewall environments.
- Implement, manage, and troubleshoot Prisma, Palo Alto, and Cisco routers and switches.Â
- Develop and enforce firewall security policies and best practices.
- Lead advanced troubleshooting and root cause analysis for complex network issues.
- Ensure compliance with DoD and GCC environment networking and security standards.
- Collaborate with leadership and cross-functional teams to align networking strategies with business objectives.
- Travel to five designated client locations to provide onsite support, deployment, and upgrades as needed.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in owning/leading enterprise network environments .
- Strong expertise with Prisma, Palo Alto, Cisco, and Fortinet technologies.
- Solid knowledge of LAN, WAN, VLAN , and firewall management.
- Experience in secure network design, implementation, and monitoring.
- Familiarity with DoD or GCC environment requirements is a plus but not needed.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., CCNA, CCNP, PCNSE, NSE, Security+, CISSP) are highly desirable.
- Strong communication, documentation, and leadership skills.
Additional Requirements:
- Must be a U.S. Citizen (required for DoD environment).
- Ability to pass a drug test and Background check .
