Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Sewing Machine Operator with experience in drapery and curtain fabrication to join our production team. The ideal candidate will have strong attention to detail, a steady hand, and the ability to produce high-quality custom drapery and soft furnishings according to specifications and design standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Operate industrial sewing machines to produce draperies, curtains, valances, and other fabric treatments .

• Measure, cut, hem, and finish fabrics with precision and attention to detail.

• Follow patterns, work orders, and design specifications accurately.

• Inspect materials and finished products for quality, alignment, and consistency.

• Perform alterations and repairs when necessary.

• Maintain a clean and organized work area, including proper care of sewing machines and tools.

• Collaborate with team members and supervisors to meet production targets and client deadlines.

• Ensure all work complies with quality and safety standards .

• Handle various fabric types and accessories (linings, trims, tapes, etc.).

Qualifications & Skills:

• Minimum 1 2 years of experience as a Sewing Machine Operator, preferably in a drapery or textile manufacturing environment .

• Proficiency in operating industrial and commercial sewing machines (single-needle, double-needle, serger, hemmer, etc.).

• Knowledge of drapery sewing techniques, fabric types, and finishing processes.

• Ability to read and follow measurements, patterns, and work orders .

• Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and craftsmanship.

• Good time management and teamwork skills.

• Physically able to stand, bend, and perform repetitive sewing tasks.

Working Conditions:

• Indoor production environment with moderate noise.

• May require lifting and moving fabric rolls and finished drapery products.
