Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and vigilant Security Supervisor to oversee the safety and security operations within our store. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills and a keen eye for detail, ensuring the protection of personnel, property, and assets. This role involves managing a team of security personnel, implementing loss prevention strategies, and utilising surveillance technologies effectively.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate the activities of security staff to ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
• Conduct regular patrols of the premises to monitor for any suspicious activities or breaches of security.
• Utilise CCTV systems to monitor live feeds and review recorded footage for incidents or investigations.
• Develop and implement loss prevention strategies to minimise theft and damage to property.
• Respond promptly to alarms, incidents, or emergencies, providing first aid as necessary until professional help arrives.
• Prepare detailed reports on incidents, investigations, and security breaches for management review.
• Train and mentor security staff on best practices in surveillance, emergency response, and customer service.
• Liaise with local law enforcement agencies when necessary to ensure a coordinated approach to security.

Requirements

• Proven experience in a supervisory role within the security industry is essential.
• Strong knowledge of surveillance systems, including CCTV operation and monitoring.
• Familiarity with loss prevention techniques and strategies.
• Certification in First Aid is highly desirable; willingness to obtain certification if not currently held.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Ability to remain calm under pressure and make sound decisions in emergency situations.
• Strong observational skills with attention to detail.
