We are seeking a reliable and professional Security Officer to ensure the safety and security of our premises, assets, staff, and visitors. The ideal candidate will be observant, detail-oriented, and able to respond quickly and effectively to potential threats or incidents.
Key Responsibilities:
- Monitor and patrol assigned areas to prevent and detect signs of intrusion or unsafe behavior
- Control access to buildings and property by verifying identification and credentials
- Respond to alarms, emergencies, and incidents in a timely and appropriate manner
- Write detailed incident and daily activity reports
- Operate security equipment such as surveillance cameras, radios, and alarms
- Provide assistance to employees, visitors, and contractors while enforcing company policies
- Conduct regular inspections to ensure all security measures are in place and functioning
- Collaborate with law enforcement, emergency responders, and company management as needed
- Maintain a visible presence to deter unauthorized or suspicious activity
- Enforce rules, regulations, and procedures related to safety and security
Job Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional security training or certifications preferred
- Proven experience as a security officer or in a similar role
- Valid security license/guard card (as required by local or state regulations)
- Strong observational and problem-solving skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to remain calm and make sound decisions under pressure
- Basic computer skills for report writing and use of surveillance systems
- Physical fitness and ability to stand, walk, or patrol for extended periods
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays
- Professional appearance and demeanor
