Job Description:

• RN, Registered Nurse
• Corrections, Correctional, Psych, Forensics, Detox or related nursing experience.
• Capron, VA
• + Additional openings statewide!

Corrections RN Overview:

• $47/hour
• $70.50/hour overtime.
• +weekend differential.
• 12-hour night shift.
• 36 hours weekly with the potential to pick up overtime.
• ASAP start dates.

Corrections RN / Registered Nurse Job Details:

• Provide healthcare services to inmates.
• Conduct health assessments, screenings, and medical evaluations
• Administer medications, treatments, and vaccinations according to physician orders and established protocols.
• Maintain accurate and comprehensive medical records, documenting all patient interactions, treatments, and outcomes.
• Respond to medical emergencies and provide immediate care to stabilize patients in critical situations.
• Educate inmates about health issues, preventive care, and lifestyle modifications to improve their overall well-being.
• Participate in health promotion and disease prevention programs within the correctional facility.
• Treat inmates for chronic health issues, trauma, infection, and substance abuse.
• Maintain confidentiality of patient information and adhere to ethical standards in all aspects of patient care.
• Collaborate with correctional staff to address security concerns while delivering patient care.

Corrections RN / Registered Nurse Qualifications:

• VA or Multistate RN License in good standing.
• Active BLS.
• 1+ years of RN experience in Corrections preferred, but not required.
