JOB DESCRIPTION:
Job Title: Registered Nurse – Operating Room (RN OR).
Location: Raleigh, NC 27614.
Shift Schedule: 10-hour shifts with Tuesdays off(4 x 10 Day shifts).
Duration: Approx 13 Weeks (Possible extension depending on business needs).
Pay Rate: $55- 62 on W2. .
Guarantee Hours: 40 hours per week.
 
Responsibilities:
Deliver safe, high-quality patient care in a fast-paced OR environment.
Assist surgical team during operative procedures by preparing and handling instruments, supplies, and equipment.
Monitor the patient’s physical and emotional well-being throughout the surgical experience.
Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and other perioperative staff to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
Maintain sterile field and adhere to infection control standards.
Document all aspects of nursing care accurately and in a timely manner.
Support preoperative and postoperative patient care as needed.
Participate in performance improvement initiatives and maintain compliance with hospital policies and procedures. 

Skills/Experience Needed :
Minimum 1 year of recent Operating Room nursing experience (required).
Strong clinical judgment and problem-solving skills.
Ability to multitask and adapt quickly in high-pressure situations.
Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
Experience with a variety of surgical procedures (e.g., general, orthopedic, OB/GYN, ENT, etc.) is preferred.
Familiarity with EMR systems (Epic experience is a plus).
 
Education:
Graduate of an accredited nursing program (Associate’s or Bachelor’s in Nursing required).
BSN preferred or required within a specified time frame (per hospital policy).  

Certifications:
Current RN license in the state of North Carolina or compact state license (required).
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification by the American Heart Association (required).
Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) – preferred or must be obtained within 6 months of hire.
CNOR certification – preferred.
Proof of COVID-19 vaccination may be required, depending on hospital policy.
