Job Description

We are seeking an experienced and compassionate Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) to join our well-established Family Practice office in Jacksonville, Florida. This is a fantastic opportunity for a skilled Family Nurse Practitioner looking to build a strong patient base and make a meaningful impact in healthcare in a traditional family practice setting. The candidate will get pay as 1099 independent contractor.

Responsibilities

  • Perform Compensation and Pension Examinations on Veterans
  • Complete a thorough review of digital medical records
  • Conduct a physical assessment based on specific disability claims
  • Submit information gathered through an online portal for the VA to review as part of a compensation/pension claim.
  • All exams will take place at approved facilities with proper equipment and internet access provided.
  • Diagnosing and treating acute, episodic, and chronic conditions.
  • Ordering and interpreting X-rays and laboratory tests to assist in diagnoses.
  • Conducting comprehensive physical exams.
  • Facilitating referrals to specialists and coordinating with other healthcare providers.
  • Collaborating closely with our staff to ensure the best care for our patients
  • Must be able to perform exams a minimum of 1 to 3 days per week

Qualifications:

  • Board-certified Nurse Practitioners (autonomous preferred)
  • One year Experience or some prior VA work is ideal.
  • Design your own schedule
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Able to work autonomous
  • Florida NP/PA License

Skills

  • Proven experience as a nurse practitioner
  • Excellent knowledge of the nursing process
  • Excellent knowledge of patient care
  • In-depth knowledge of health and safety guidelines and procedures (sanitation, decontamination etc.) and willingness to follow them at all times
  • A team leader with excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Responsible and compassionate
  • Outstanding organizational and multi-tasking skills
  • Patient with excellent problem-solving skills
  • MSN from a nursing program
  • Valid Florida APRN nursing license
  • BLS or CPR certified
  • Professional liability or malpractice insurance

Pay: $200.00 - $400.00 per day
