Nuclear & Criticality Safety Engineering Duties
Support the development, review, and implementation of nuclear safety documentation for various
facilities at the Savannah River Site. Provide technical assistance in developing and reviewing nuclear safety documents and analyses, technical safety requirements, and related technical support documentation. Ensure that the developed nuclear safety documentation complies with requirements and as necessary, applicable controls are implemented in ?eld procedures. Conduct Nuclear Safety Program assessments and maintain program manuals.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
Education : An advanced degree and experience, a Ph.D. degree and 10 years' experience. A MS degree and 12 years' experience. A BS degree and approximately 15 years' experience.
Experience/Skills :
Considered an internal expert in area of expertise.
Contributes to advancing knowledge in ?eld of expertise through various avenues such as internal and external publications and professional society presentations.
Can solve complex problems in ?eld.
Previous experience with the use and implementation of 10 CFR 830, DOE O 413.3, DOE O 420.1, DOE STDs 3009, 1186, 1189 and related directives and standards is required.
Fifteen years of relevant experience in developing, reviewing, and maintaining safety basis documents and safety basis support documents is preferred.
Candidate must demonstrate pro?ciency in developing and providing safety basis inputs to facility/project schedules, while meeting deadlines and budgets.
Candidate must perform work safely and be pro?cient in performing Nuclear Safety Program assessments.
