We are seeking a highly experienced Network Architect to join our network team!Dahl Consulting is currently partnering with a leading software company. - Contract Duration: 6+ months with potential extension
- Worksite Location: Remote (Central or Eastern Time Zone preferred; Midwest or East Coast ideal)
- Compensation: $65.00-$75.00 per hour
What you’ll do as the Network Architect: - Conduct a comprehensive assessment of the current enterprise network, including on-prem, hybrid, and cloud environments
- Develop a future-state network architecture roadmap aligned with business and technology goals
- Establish network standards, policies, and best practices for modernization and scalability
- Deliver detailed network documentation, including current-state diagrams, inventories, and dependencies
- Create high-level architectural abstracts to illustrate the evolution path from current to future state
- Provide architectural guidance on Azure networking with a focus on Equinix, NetBond, and ExpressRoute integrations
- Collaborate with infrastructure and security teams to ensure resilience, compliance, and security alignment
- Support knowledge transfer and mentor internal team members on best practices
What you need to be a Network Architect: - 8+ years of progressive experience in network engineering and architecture roles
- Proven expertise in Azure networking, especially Equinix, NetBond, and ExpressRoute
- Strong background with Cisco (routing/switching, enterprise networks), Fortinet (firewalls, VPN, security), and Riverbed (WAN optimization, performance management)
- Experience designing and documenting hybrid cloud network architectures
- Strong ability to produce clear, comprehensive technical documentation
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills with both technical and executive stakeholders
- Strategic thinker with hands-on technical depth
