Job Description:

This role offers theopportunity to provide essential care in a secure environment, supporting thehealth and dignity of incarcerated individuals. You'll work alongside amultidisciplinary team in a setting that values professionalism, safety, andcompassion.
KeyResponsibilities:
+ Provide routine and urgent nursing care to incarcerated individuals
+ Collaborate with physicians, mental health professionals, and correctional staff
+ Administer medications and assist with chronic and acute condition management
+ Maintain accurate medical records and follow facility protocols
+ Respond to medical emergencies and assist in crisis situations
+ Educate patients on health and wellness practices
Qualifications:
+ Current LPN license in the state of Virginia
+ Minimum 1 year of nursing experience required
+ Previous correctional healthcare experience preferred
+ Current and active BLS certification
+ TB screening (PPD, chest x-ray, or questionnaire as applicable)
+ Must meet all federal, state, and local employment requirements
+ Must be at least 18 years of age
+ Weekend availability required
+ RTO requests must not exceed 3 days; no major holiday RTO will be approved
