Description Immigration law firm has an immediate opening for a Paralegal! This Paralegal will support two attorneys with family-based immigration matters. This Paralegal role involves assisting clients with immigration-related filings, legal documentation, and client communication in English and Spanish. This position requires on-site work in San Jose, CA. The ideal candidate will have 2-5+ years of immigration paralegal experience, including exposure to I-485s, I-130, I-601A, and consular visas. You must be bilingual in English and Spanish for consideration. Responsibilities: - Prepare and submit immigration filings and petitions, including I-485s, I-130, I-601A, and consular visas. - Manage calendars and schedules to ensure timely processing of legal documentation. - Conduct client intake and maintain communication to address their immigration concerns. - Translate and interpret legal documents for Spanish-speaking clients. - Draft and review legal documents related to immigration cases. - Collaborate with attorneys to ensure compliance with immigration laws and regulations. - Provide exceptional client service by explaining procedures and answering questions. - Maintain organized records of case files and documentation. - Stay updated on changes in immigration laws and procedures to provide accurate advice. Requirements - Minimum of 2 years of experience as an Immigration Paralegal. - Proficiency in preparing and managing immigration filings, including various visa petitions. - Strong knowledge of immigration law and relevant procedures. - Fluency in Spanish, including speaking, reading, and writing. - Experience with client-facing roles and the ability to effectively communicate with diverse populations. - Ability to manage calendars and schedules efficiently. - Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail. - Proficiency in drafting and reviewing legal documents.
