Step into a day where your diagnostics keep freight moving

You clock in, pull up JPRO and OEM diagnostic software on a Windows laptop, and zero in on a tractor-trailer with an electrical anomaly. Multimeter in hand, you trace the issue, repair it, then pivot to scheduled preventive maintenance before closing out with an FMCSA-compliant DOT inspection. Thats a typical shift for our Heavy-Duty Diesel Systems Mechanic at NFIs Fleet Services division.

What youll do

• Diagnose and repair complex electrical and mechanical issues on tractors and trailers using JPRO, OEM diagnostic platforms, multimeters, and Windows-based tools
• Perform preventive maintenance to keep our dedicated internal fleet road-ready
• Conduct DOT inspections in accordance with FMCSA guidelines
• Safely execute all tasks that may include lifting/pulling 75+ lbs, working on your feet or lying down for extended periods, and reaching into tight spaces

What it takes

• Valid drivers license; ability to obtain a Class B license preferred
• Technical or advanced degree or equivalent hands-on maintenance experience
• Comfort with computerized diagnostics and test equipment (JPRO, OEM software, multimeters, Windows)
• Proven troubleshooting ability and a customer-first mindset
• Team-oriented with clear oral and written communication skills
• On-site skills evaluation with recommended training

Schedule & Pay

Schedule: Flexible shifts available

Pay: $35/hr$40/hr, based on experience and certifications
