About the Job

The Grants and Development Manager is a key member of the Girls Group and Fund Development team. This position is vital in keeping the lines of communication between Program and Fundraising going strong to help identify new funding opportunities and ensure accurate compliance reporting. This position is also responsible for helping to achieve the annual fundraising goals through procurement of new grants and securing of current funders, aiding in building out a robust pipeline of potential funders, and stewardship.

Responsibilities
  • Grant Writing:
    • Develop and write letters of inquiry, letters of support, grant proposals, budget narrative and justifications, that effectively communicate the agency’s mission and needs.
    • Identify strong industry-relevant data/research to demonstrate the need for the agency’s services.
    • Maintain a “Grants Calendar” within the Monday.com platform that details deadlines, notes, and any relevant communication with funders that is accessible to all fund development team members for reference.
    • Establish and manage a Program Description/Content Library  
    • Compliance and Grants Management:
    • Accurately track the award details in all shared drives and Monday.com
    • Oversee spending of grant to ensure accounting accuracy and agency fidelity to funder
    • Provide detailed compliance reports with accurate budget details to the Director of Development for funder communication
    • Meet all assigned deadlines with attention to detail, accuracy, and brand fidelity.
    • Demonstrate personal integrity and professional demeanor in accordance with the ethics of the agency.
    • Stay informed of current practice developments within the profession, and use educational and training opportunities to ensure continual professional competence
  • Development:
    • Manage all functions of the Blackbaud donor database, including creation, maintenance, and management of all records and reports, timely data entry, ensuring superb data accuracy, generating weekly & monthly financial scorecards, and performing monthly reconciliation of donor records with the general ledger.
    • Support the logistical planning for the Annual Fundraiser including, preparing monthly agendas for the planning committee.
    • Support the agencies logistical planning of the fundraising appeals and campagns, including strategy, project plans, acknowledgement, and routine fund development correspondence.
    • Provide Query support for Blackbaud, MailChimp, and other systems, subscription services and technologies required to engage donors and prospects in support of all marketing and fund development event activities.
About You
  • Bachelor’s degree in communication, English, Marketing or related field or the equivalent in work experience.
  • Strong formatting skills, including the ability to work within brand fidelity guidelines.
  • Meet all assigned deadlines with attention to detail, accuracy, and brand fidelity.
  • Demonstrate personal integrity and professional demeanor in accordance with the ethics of the agency.
  • Must have a solid understanding of budgets as they relate to grant proposals.
  • Demonstrated ability to interact positively in a culturally diverse environment.
  • Experience in persuasive proposal wring preferred
