Job Description

• Forklift Operation :

  • Operate a forklift to move materials within the warehouse or job site.
  • Load and unload trucks, containers, and other vehicles using a forklift.
  • Stack and organize products in designated areas.
  • Perform routine maintenance checks on the forklift and report any issues.

• Material Handling :

  • Assist with the loading and unloading of materials manually or using appropriate equipment.
  • Transport materials to and from storage areas, production lines, or job sites.
  • Ensure that materials are properly labeled and stored according to company policies.

• Inventory Management :

  • Conduct regular inventory counts and assist with inventory reconciliation.
  • Maintain accurate records of materials moved and stored.
  • Assist with the organization and cleanliness of the warehouse or job site.

• General Labor Tasks :

  • Perform various physical tasks such as lifting, carrying, and moving materials.
  • Assist with assembly, production, or other tasks as needed.
  • Ensure that work areas are clean, organized, and free of hazards.

• Safety and Compliance :

  • Adhere to all safety regulations and procedures.
  • Use personal protective equipment (PPE) as required.
  • Report any safety hazards or incidents to the supervisor immediately.

Qualifications

• Education and Experience :

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Valid forklift operator certification preferred.
  • Previous experience in a warehouse or industrial environment is a plus.

• Skills and Abilities :

  • Ability to operate a forklift and other material handling equipment safely and efficiently.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Good physical stamina and the ability to lift heavy objects (up to 50 lbs).
  • Basic math and record-keeping skills.
  • Ability to follow instructions and work independently or as part of a team.
