Food Prep/Production Kitchen
Pay: From $14.00 per hour

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Prep Cook to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in the kitchen, assisting with food preparation, ensuring food safety standards, and contributing to menu planning. Responsibilities
- Prepare ingredients for cooking by washing, chopping, and measuring food items as per recipes.
- Assist in the daily operations of the dietary department, ensuring that meals are prepared according to dietary guidelines.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, including proper storage of food items.
- Follow food safety protocols to ensure all food is handled and stored correctly.
- Collaborate with chefs and other kitchen staff to support menu planning and execution.
- Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently, including knives and other culinary tools.
- Help in the presentation of dishes to ensure they meet quality standards before serving.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a restaurant or food service environment is preferred but not required.
- Knowledge of food safety practices and dietary guidelines is essential.
- Strong knife skills and familiarity with various cooking techniques are advantageous.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills and a team-oriented mindset are necessary for success in this role.
