Job Title: Fleet Manager
Location: Â Bedford, Indiana
Compensation: $70,000 â $80,000 annually
Position Summary: The Fleet Manager oversees the acquisition, operation, maintenance, and repair of company-owned vehicles to ensure efficiency, reliability, and compliance with all safety and environmental regulations.
Key Responsibilities: - Manage vehicle procurement, maintenance, parts, and supplies for the fleet.
- Fleet consists of Forklifts, booms, carts, lifts and other mobile equipment
- Manage Supervisors and Union mechanics
- Schedule and coordinate repairs and servicing to minimize downtime.
- Use of CMMS software
- Evaluate fleet performance and recommend improvements or replacements.
- Communicate with vendors/manufacturers regarding vehicle modifications.
- Supervise and support fleet personnel; enforce safety standards and protocols.
Qualifications: - Associateâs degree or equivalent experience (1+ years in a related role).
- Strong understanding of vehicle operations, maintenance, and procurement.
- Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel) and general computer use.
- Ability to travel up to 20% for training and business needs.
