Facilities Maintenance Technician

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES ( include, but are not limited to, the following:

• Maintenance of building exterior/interiors, mechanical, plumbing, fire and electrical systems and subsystems of burglar/fire alarms
• Construction of facility improvements such as doors, windows and building hardware
• Operates various facility equipment, including but not limited to carpentry tools, plumbing tools, HVAC and electrical testing equipment and related equipment as required
• Perform a wide variety of skilled tasks involving the use of power equipment and hand tools in the areas of facility maintenance
• Implements, oversees and compiles reports
• Ability to assist in developing scope of work for various contracted maintenance projects
• Maintenance of turf, trees, shrubs, groundcover, top dressings, and irrigation systems
• Operates various power turf equipment, including but not limited to mowers of various sizes, edgers, blowers, and related equipment as required
• Perform a wide variety of skilled tasks involving the use of power equipment and hand tools in the areas of grounds maintenance, irrigation system installation and maintenance, tree/shrub trimming maintenance
• Performs other related duties as assigned

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

High School Diploma and/or equivalent work experience
