Gifted Potentials is seeking a reliable and dedicated Direct Support Professional (DSP) for a part-time Community Participation Support (CPS) case in Collegeville, PA. It is preferred that the DSP lives in Collegeville or the immediate surrounding area. This role supports an adult with developmental disabilities by promoting community inclusion, employment readiness, purposeful activity, and personal empowerment.
Due to the participant’s personal care preferences, a female DSP age 28 or older is preferred. Schedule Monday, Thursday, Saturday or Sunday (rotating weekends)
- Morning start time between 9:00 AM – 10:00 AM
- 20-hour weekly case total
- Immediate hire
Key Responsibilities Provide individualized CPS support in the community.
- Support employment goals in partnership with a Job Coach (OVR).
- Assist with outings to flea markets, stores, and recreation centers.
- Encourage and attend dance or fitness classes of interest.
- Facilitate social engagement with friends and family.
- Foster decision-making, confidence, and daily structure.
- Maintain dignity, safety, and inclusion at all times.
- Use person-centered and trauma-informed approaches.
- Document services accurately and on time.
- Communicate with the supervisor and care team to ensure consistency.
Requirements Availability for all scheduled days.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
- Prior DSP, CNA, or direct-care experience preferred.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to be firm, yet patient.
- Understanding of HCBS standards, person-centered supports, and HIPAA.
