Data Analyst - 2292318 EMPLOYER: Optum Services, Inc JOB TITLE: Data Analyst LOCATION: 1 Optum Circle Eden Prairie, MN 55344 DUTIES: Develop innovative analytic solutions, create actionable insights, and drive better decisions and performance to help the business achieve its business objectives; Manage and manipulate structured data, with a focus on building business intelligence tools, conducting analysis to distinguish patterns and recognize trends while assuring data quality; Create specifications to bring data into a common structure; Develop data solutions to support analyses, perform analysis, interpreting results, develop actionable insights and present recommendations for use across the company; Partner with stakeholders to understand data requirements and develop tools, models, dashboards, data visualizations, decision aids, and business case analysis to support the organization; Produce and manage the delivery of activity and value analytics to external stakeholders and clients; Use business intelligence, data visualization, query, analytic and statistical software to build solutions, perform analysis and interpret data; Develop ETL, workflows, and automated reporting solutions as needed by the business; and Support operational analytics, machine learning and process improvement data deep dive while identifying new opportunities for increases in efficiencies and performance. Telecommuting is available from anywhere in the U.S. REQUIREMENTS: Employer will accept a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Computer Information Systems, Business Administration, Data Science or related field and the completion of a university-level/university-level course, research project, internship, or thesis or one year of experience involving the following. - Data visualization, such as Tableau or Power BI; - Relational Database Programming, such as SQL or Oracle; - ETL Technology, including Alteryx, SSIS, SAS, or Excel VBA; - Automation/scheduling in big data platform(s); - Cloud analytics software; - Object-oriented programming language, such as Python.
