Job Description

Expert Staffing West is looking for a skilled and detail-oriented Construction Worker to join our team in El Cajon.

The ideal candidate will have experience in all aspects of kitchen renovation, including demolition, carpentry, cabinetry, tiling, plumbing, and appliance installation. This role requires craftsmanship, problem-solving skills, and a commitment to delivering high-quality work that meets client expectations.

Shift: 8:00am - 4:30pm

Pay: $21/hr. - $25/hr.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform demolition of existing kitchen components (cabinets, countertops, flooring, etc.)
• Install cabinets, countertops, sinks, backsplashes, and kitchen fixtures
• Measure and cut materials to ensure precise fit and finish
• Perform minor plumbing and electrical tasks in coordination with licensed trades
• Lay tile or other flooring materials and ensure proper alignment and finish
• Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications
• Work directly with clients or supervisors to ensure design goals are met
• Ensure all work is up to code and follows safety regulations
• Maintain a clean and organized job site
• Troubleshoot issues that arise during the remodel process

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent; trade school or apprenticeship preferred
• 2+ years of experience in residential remodeling, specifically kitchen renovation
• Proficiency in using hand and power tools
• Strong understanding of carpentry, plumbing, and basic electrical systems
• Ability to lift heavy objects, bend, kneel, and work in tight spaces
