Bringing the vibrant cafe scene to Chicago, we are embracing that lively atmosphere, from traditional chai spots to specialty coffee. coffee and Chai, representing hospitality and togetherness, is the drink for any time of day, perfect for sharing moments. Our place in Chicago captures this vibe, blending a lively cafe feel with a contemporary twist, fusing India's rich traditions with exciting, modern flavors.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare and serve a variety of hot and cold beverages, including coffee, tea, and specialty drinks
- Take customer orders and process payments using the cash register system
- Provide excellent customer service by greeting customers, answering questions, and addressing any concerns
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, including restocking supplies as needed
- Follow all food safety and sanitation guidelines to ensure the health and safety of customers
- Assist with food preparation, such as making sandwiches or pastries, as needed
- Upsell additional products or menu items to increase sales
Experience:
- 1 year speciality coffee experience preferred, Previous experience in the food industry or as a barista is required, strong team management skill is required, Strong hospitality required .
- Knowledge of basic math skills for cash handling and retail math calculations
- Familiarity with Aloha POS system is a plus
- Strong time management skills to prioritize tasks and handle multiple orders simultaneously, weekend availability is a must.
