Now Hiring: Assistant Property Manager
Do you enjoy helping others, staying organized, and working in a fast-paced environment? We’re looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Assistant Property Manager to help oversee day-to-day operations and resident relations at apartment communities.
Key Responsibilities:
• Support the Property Manager with daily operations and resident communication
• Review ledgers with residents to explain balances and payment history
• Assist residents who receive delinquency letters or electric violation notices, helping them understand their balance and next steps
• Hand-deliver delinquency and electric violation notices alongside another team member
• Provide excellent customer service to current and prospective residents
• Conduct property tours and assist with leasing efforts
• Manage resident files, leasing paperwork, and rent collections
• Help organize community events and resident retention initiatives
• Maintain low delinquency and assist with move-outs and evictions
• Ensure compliance with Fair Housing laws and company policies
• Comfortably utilize the language line for interpretation when communicating with Spanish- and Haitian Creole–speaking residents
What We’re Looking For:
• Previous on-site property management experience required
• Accounting background or strong comfort with reviewing financial ledgers
• Familiarity with property management software (e.g., Yardi)
• Knowledge of Fair Housing laws
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work effectively with diverse resident populations
• Dependable transportation and a professional, team-oriented attitude
